Myrtle Beach businessman arrested on tax charge

The owner of a Myrtle Beach recreational vehicle rental and sales business was arrested by a S.C. Department of Revenue investigator today and charged with operating his business without a license.

David E. Switzer, 48, owner of All Seasons RV Rental, Sales, Storage & Service, is being held at the J. Reuben Long Detention Center pending a bond hearing. He is charged with one count of operating his business without a state retail sales license. Switzer is accused of making RV sales and rentals in November 2006 after being told in October by revenue department officials he needed a retail license.

He is facing up to 30 days in jail and fines of up to $200 if convicted.
