S.C. Department of Revenue announces upcoming Sales and Use Tax Seminar for Retailers

WHAT: 
The South Carolina Department of Revenue will host a Sales & Use Tax Seminar exclusively for the retail industry. Geared towards business managers, CFOs, accounts payable personnel, accounting staff members and tax professionals, the seminar will address the following:

  • Basics of Sales and Use Tax Law
  • Updates on Local Option Sales Tax and Other Taxes
  • Exemptions, Exclusions and Certificates
  • What to Expect if You are Audited
  • Electronic Services (State and Federal)
  • Filing and Administrative Requirements

Thursday, May 17, 2007 from 9:15 a.m. 3:30 p.m.

Spartanburg, S.C.

NOTE: 
Pre-registration is required by May 8, 2007. The $45 registration fee includes all materials, continental breakfast, lunch, and refreshment breaks.  Certificates of attendance will be provided and attendees will be responsible for seeking continuing education credit through their appropriate accreditation board.
