Myrtle Beach Businessman Arrested on Tax Charges
The owner of a Myrtle Beach concrete finishing company is being held at the J. Reuben Long Detention Center in Conway after South Carolina Department of Revenue investigators and Horry County Sheriff's Office deputies arrested him on state tax charges today.
Robert Alford Sealy, 59, owner of Sealy Concrete, remains in jail pending a bond hearing after he was charged with three counts of failing to file state income tax returns. He is accused of failing to file returns from 2000 – 2002 and report and pay the tax on business income of more than $272,500 earned during the three-year period.
Sealy is facing up to three years in prison and fines of up to $30,000 if convicted of all the charges.
