FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
13 April 2009
S.C. Department of Revenue will hold annual drive-thru tax forms service
Taxpayers who have managed to let the approaching April 15 tax filing deadline sneak up on them can get some assistance from the South Carolina Department of Revenue (SC DOR). SC DOR employees will be handing out all South Carolina tax forms and many federal tax forms during their annual DOR Drive-thru Forms Service. While taxpayers can drop off their state tax returns at the drive-thru, federal returns must be mailed. This year's tax filing deadline is midnight Wednesday, April 15.
Wednesday, April 15
7:30 a.m. - 6 p.m.
The drive-thru is available rain or shine.

301 Gervais St. (State Museum Building)
Drive-Thru service is available at the front door of the State Museum/DOR headquarters building.
While the tax deadline is April 15, South Carolina taxpayers have until May 1 to file their state tax return--even if they owe--if they file electronically. This filing extension applies only to electronically-filed state returns. Taxpayers may also download forms at www.sctax.org.
