SCDOR to host Sales & Use Tax seminar for Educational Institutions

Mt. Pleasant, SC…On Thursday October 15, 2009 the SC Department of Revenue will host a sales and use tax seminar specific to educational institutions.

The workshop will be held from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Courtyard by Marriott located at 1251 Woodland Ave in Mt. Pleasant, SC.

During the workshop, participants will learn everything from the basics of sales and use tax law, new sales and use tax laws, local sales taxes, exemptions for educational institutions, what to expect if you are audited, SCDOR electronic services, Federal electronic services, South Carolina Business One Stop.
Those who should attend include business managers, chief financial officers, accounts payable personnel, accounting staff, tax professionals, and others who work with sales and use taxes.

This workshop may qualify for Continuing Education Credit, but it is the responsibility of the participant to seek credit through their appropriate accreditation board. Certificates of attendance will be provided.
