SC Department of Revenue Partners with Secretary of State's Office and SC Business One Stop to Offer Corporate Tax Workshop

Columbia, SC…On Tuesday December 15, 2009 the SC Department of Revenue will team up with the SC Secretary of State's Office and SC Business One Stop to offer a Basic Corporate Tax Workshop for corporate officers, registered agents, office managers, accountants, lawyers and tax preparers.

The workshop will be held from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the South Carolina State Library located at 1430 Senate St. (Room 309)

During the workshop, participants will learn everything from methods of electronic filing, how to start a corporation, the basics of the SC Corporate Tax law, when to file and pay corporate taxes to the frequently asked questions and errors and consequences of not completing the forms accurately and timely.

This workshop may qualify for Continuing Education Credit, but it is the responsibility of the participant to seek credit through their appropriate accreditation board. Certificates of attendance will be provided.
