Easley man arrested for income tax evasion
Pickens County resident and owner of Pro-Line Painting, Roger Dale Wilson failed to accurately report income received in 2007, 2008 and 2009. During those years, Wilson reported a total gross income of $414,080 and a South Carolina income tax liability of $0.
The South Carolina Department of Revenue investigation revealed Wilson had gross income of $1,571,960 for the years 2007 through 2009. Wilson failed to report $1,157,880 of income in order to evade payment of $53,667 in state income taxes.
If found guilty of the three felony charges, Wilson could face fines of up to $30,000 and/or up to 15 years in prison.
Wilson is currently being held at the Pickens County Detention Center where he is awaiting a bond hearing. The Pickens County Sheriff’s Department assisted with the arrest.
