Columbia, SC (October 23, 2012) --- Phyllis Horry, 55, was arrested this morning by SC Department of Revenue investigators for one count of forgery.

In 2009, the Mount Pleasant resident filed her income tax return electronically using a fraudulent W2 form. Horry did not work for the employer listed and claimed a state tax refund of $617 to which she was not entitled.

Horry could face charges of up to 10 years in prison and/or be fined at the discretion of the court. She is currently awaiting a bond hearing at the Al Cannon Detention Center in Charleston.
