Greenville Man Arrested on Tax Charges
Columbia, SC (May 2, 2013) --- A Greenville man was jailed today following his arrest for state tax charges.
South Carolina Department of Revenue investigators charged Ronnie Rodgers of Greenville, with four counts of failing to file an income tax return for tax years 2006 through 2009. He is being held at the Greenville County Detention Center pending a bond hearing.
The Department of Revenue investigation revealed Rodgers, who owned and operated a local bakery, earned income of $712,614 from 2006 through 2009. After giving credit for withholding and tax payments, his state income tax liability for the period charged is $22,216.
Rodgers is facing up to four years in prison and/or fines of up to $40,000 if convicted of the charges.
