Greenville County resident arrested on sales tax and liquor by the drink tax charges.

 

Frederick Robert Kissling was arrested on March 20, 2014 for eight counts of Tax Evasion.

 

SC Department of Revenue officials charged Kissling, 60, with four counts of evading payments on gross sales tax and four counts of evading payments on liquor by the drink excise tax.  Kissling could face a fine of $80,000 or 40 years of imprisonment or both.  

 

For tax years 2009 through 2012, Kissling underreported gross sales on his monthly sales tax returns and gross sales on his liquor by the drink tax returns.  Kissling evaded payments totaling $80,252 of sales tax and liquor by the drink tax for tax years 2009 through 2012.

 

Kissling is being held at the Greenville County Detention Center
