Revenue Department offering free withholding tax workshops

            South Carolina Department of Revenue employees will provide instructional help to small business owners, payroll clerks and others required to collect and report the state withholding tax in free workshops to be held September 10 and October 10 at the Department’s Columbia office located at 301 Gervais Street.

            Revenue employees will teach participants the basics of SC withholding law, how to register, file and pay for withholding tax and proper forms used for filing.  There will be two workshops offered each day at 9a.m. and 2p.m. The workshops will last approximately two hours.  There is no charge for the workshop, but pre-registration is required.  Call Jeanette Hornsby at (803) 898-5420, or email hornsbj@sctax.org.  Please include in your email a daytime phone number.  Registration information can also be found at www.sctax.org.

The Department of Revenue Columbia office is located in the same building as the State Museum, next to the Gervais Street Bridge.
