Rock Hill man arrested again for license violation

A Rock Hill businessman is facing jail time after South Carolina Department of Revenue criminal investigators arrested him today on charges of illegally operating his business.

David N. Jerolmon, 63, owner of Brick Yard Ltd., remains in jail at the York County Detention Center after Department investigators charged him with one count of operating his business without a retail sales license. It is the fourth time since August 2003 that Department investigators have arrested him on that charge. He has been convicted twice from his prior arrests.

Jerolmon was previously arrested in November and December, 2003, and again in January of this year. The Department revoked Jerolmon’s retail sales license last August for failing to pay state sales and use tax collected from his business. Jerolmon sells bricks and brick-laying equipment.

If convicted, Jerolmon could be sentenced up to 30 days in jail for today’s arrest.

The York County Sheriff’s Department assisted with Jerolmon’s arrest.
