Sales and use tax seminar

Tailored for construction industry

            The South Carolina Department of Revenue is offering a one-day seminar designed to help members of the construction industry understand the basics of the state’s sale and use tax law. The seminar is Thursday, May 27 at the S.C. Archives and History Center in Columbia, 8301 Parklane Road, 9:30 a.m. – 3 p.m.

            Department of Revenue instructors will provide participants information on reporting sales and use tax, exemptions and exclusions and what to expect if you’re audited. They also will update participants on sales and use tax law changes and give tips on using the Department of Revenue’s electronic filing services.

            The seminar cost is $45, which includes all instruction materials, lunch and refreshments. Pre-registration is required.
