A Greenville businessman was arrested today on charges of failing to file state income tax returns. 

South Carolina Department of Revenue investigators charged Jeffrey Boyle, 44, with four counts of failing to file tax returns from 2000- 2003. Boyle was released by Magistrate Judge Horace Butler this morning on a $10,000 personal recognizance bond. 

Boyle is accused of failing to report business income of more than $735,790 during the four-year period. He is facing up to four years in prison and fines of up to $40,000 if convicted of all the charges. 

The Greenville County Sheriff's Department assisted the revenue department in Boyle's arrest.
