Revenue Department Offering Workshop for Retailers

South Carolina retailers can receive the latest information and instruction on the state's sales and use tax laws by attending a South Carolina Department of Revenue sales and use tax seminar in Columbia on Thursday, June 30.

Department of Revenue instructors will brief participants on recent changes in sales and use tax law and discuss a number of other topics including county local option sales and use taxes, DOR audit procedures, exemptions and exclusions to the law and revenue department electronic services.

The daylong workshop will be held at the S.C. Archives and History Center, 8301 Parklane Road (northeast Columbia). There is a $45 registration fee which covers the cost of seminar materials, lunch and refreshments.
