Richland County Resident Arrested on Tax Charges
Richland, SC…A Richland County resident was jailed yesterday following her arrest for operating a business without a license.
South Carolina Department of Revenue investigators charged Laura M. Moran, owner and operator of The Spur Stop, located in Columbia, South Carolina, with one count of operating a retail business without a license after the Department’s investigation showed she continued to conduct retail sales after the retail license was revoked by the Department.
She was booked at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center and released on bond.
Moran is facing up to 30 days in prison and fines of up to $200.00 if convicted of the charge. The Richland County Sheriff’s Office assisted in the arrest.
