ROCK HILL BUSINESSMAN ARRESTED ON TAX CHARGES

COLUMBIA, S.C. -- South Carolina Department of Revenue investigators arrested the owner of a Rock Hill pharmacy today and charged him with intentionally failing to file state income tax returns.

Gregory S. Boone, 35, owner of Medical Shop, Inc., 1051 Oakland Ave., was charged with five counts of failing to file state tax returns. He is being held at the Lancaster County Detention Center pending a bond hearing.

Boone is accused of failing to file his state income tax returns from 1999 – 2003. The Department of Revenue investigation showed Boone had business income of more than $198,500 during that period.

Boone is facing up to five years in prison and fines of up to $50,000 if convicted of the charges.
