Columbia, SC....Beginning February 2009 some South Carolina taxpayers will start to receive automated telephone calls informing them of various filing requirements. The South Carolina Department of Revenue (SC DOR) says the automated calls are intended to provide reminders to taxpayers at minimal cost compared to traditional mailings.

Messages will not contain any personal identifying information about a taxpayer and may on some messages ask the taxpayer to call the DOR at a specific number.

Taxpayers are urged to call the DOR at 803-898- 5700 or visit our website at www.sctax.org if there are questions, comments and concerns.
