For the first time in several years the Internal Revenue Service has updated it's Publication 561, Determining the Value of Donated Property. The publication is very well written and includes statutory enactments passed last year. It primarily deals with determining fair market value; valuation of various kinds of property; and the rules regarding appraisals.
